Summary

In this poem, the poet expresses his wish to become an animal. He believes that animals are far better than human beings. Human beings are greedy and practise jealousy among themselves. While animals are happy with what they have, they never complain about miseries and sorrows. On the other hand, human beings always exaggerate their pathetic lives. They give more importance to the rich and powerful, stay restless because of their wrongdoings, and run after luxurious things. Whereas animals are honest about their relations, never give importance to a particular class, and live a life full of honesty and respect.
