Lencho was expecting a good rain to have a good harvest as that was the only hope he had for his earning. He worked hard to feed his family, but he became the victim of nature which destroyed his crop field.
The story also illustrates another conflict between humans themselves. After receiving Lencho’s letter to God, the postmaster along with the staff sent him the money which he asked from God in order to keep his belief in God. But Lencho blamed the staff of the post office for taking away the remaining money because he called them “a bunch of crooks”. It shows that man does not have faith in other man, thereby giving rise to this conflict.
