Short Summary
The story is about a mischievous monkey named Toto that Grandfather buys from a tonga-driver for three rupees. Toto is kept in Grandfather’s private zoo. He is pretty but extremely destructive – he tears clothes, curtains, wallpaper, breaks dishes, and troubles other animals. Toto bathes like a human and once almost boils himself alive by jumping into a kettle of hot water. Grandfather takes him to Saharanpur in a bag, and the ticket collector charges fare for him as a dog. Because Toto causes too much loss, the family finally sells him back to the same tonga-driver.
